For large audiences

Your stream stays online, even when the whole country tunes in

Video delivery with capacity for audience peaks: finals, World Cups, elections and premieres. The same network we used to stream four World Cups in Argentina.

When you need it

The moments when the stream can't go down

The peak lasts minutes, but it's when the most people are watching. If the stream fails then, it fails for everyone.

Sports events

Finals, derbies and World Cups: millions of people connecting in the same minute.

Elections and breaking news

Special coverage where the audience multiplies without warning.

Premieres and launches

Long-awaited content that everyone wants to watch the moment it comes out.

Large corporate events

Conventions, launches and internal broadcasts for thousands of people at once.

What we solve

Capacity, protection and quality at the moment of highest demand

Capacity for the peak

Edge's network absorbs the demand at the moment of highest audience, so you don't have to size your infrastructure for the worst day.

Your origin, protected

Screens request the video from Edge's network, not from your server. Your origin receives a low, steady load even when everyone connects at once.

Adaptive quality

Each signal is delivered in multiple qualities and the player picks the best one for the viewer's connection, instead of cutting out.

Caching inside the operator's network

For cable operators and ISPs: a cache node inside your network serves traffic locally and reduces transit.

Integration with other CDNs

Our network works alongside other CDNs when the event calls for extra capacity or redundancy.

Live support

Our technical team follows the event end to end, from the dry run to the end of the stream.

How it works

Your signal goes out once; the network multiplies it

Your origin server sends each signal only once to Edge's network, and the network distributes it to every viewer from the closest point.

  1. Your signalStudio, mobile unit or your own encoder.
  2. EncodingMultiple qualities per signal, with TEIA or your own encoder.
  3. Protected originA single copy of each signal sent to the network.
  4. Edge networkAbsorbs the peak, with caching at operators and other CDNs when needed.
  5. ViewersWeb, apps and Smart TVs, each with the quality its connection supports.
How we prepare an event

Nothing is left to chance on event day

  1. Estimate

Expected audience, qualities and devices, to define the capacity needed.

  2. Configuration

We tune delivery and origin protection for that event.

  3. Rehearsal

We test with the real signal before the day, end to end.

  4. Live

Our technical team monitors the stream until the end.
